2026 Leaf Collection, Yard Waste Site, and Brush Collection

The City of Stoughton Department of Public Works provides seasonal yard waste services, including spring leaf collection, brush pickup, and access to the Yard Waste Site.

Leaf Collection

Spring: March 23 – April 19, weather permitting

Fall: October 5 - November 29, weather permitting

  • Weekly collection; place leaves/grass on the terrace at any time

  • Do not bag leaves or mix in brush, sticks, or debris

  • Keep piles out of streets and away from hydrants, signs, and mailboxes

Yard Waste Site – 1101 Collins Rd.

  • Opens April 4 at 8:00 a.m. | Open through November 24

  • Hours: Tues/Thurs 1–7 p.m. (6 p.m. after Oct. 15), Sat 8 a.m.–3 p.m.

  • Permits: $25 residents / $30 non-residents (cash or check)

    Items Accepted

    • Leaves, grass, garden waste, brush, logs (size limits apply)

    Items Not Accepted

    • Construction materials, garbage, hazardous waste

Brush Collection (Separate from Leaves)

  • Dates: April 27, June 22, August 24, October 26

  • Set out by 6:00 a.m. Monday of collection week

  • Max: 6" diameter, 8 ft length; piles ≤20 ft long

  • Do not mix with leaves; no contractor-generated brush
